KNAPP My wife has a great gift of being able to take long naps on stormy weekends. My last name is Knapp(silent K). So when we bought our first boat, a Reinell 184BRXL the name was obvious, KNAPPTIME METAPHOR I teach English and often use nautical metaphors and allusions in my work.Since sailing is such a great metaphor for just about anything, my 22'sloop's name was obvious. Oh, and my dinghy tender..."ExtendedMetaphor"... SEA BETTA Yes, this Sea Ray 330 DA belongs to a New Orleans ophthalmologist. JYP-C'S Taken from our dogs name of Gypsy and changed the spelling of G to J for my name Jim and the C's for my wife Carole, daughters Crystal and Cynthia and named JYP-C's because we like to venture and travel often to different ports of call.Home base Cornwall Ont. Canada. SHOSHONE is a 1960 Chris Craft Cavalier named in memory of my father, who, like the boat, was a classic. It is also very similar to the boat my mother and father honeymooned on in the early fifties. My father left Shoshone, Idaho, in the early twenties and headed to sea, a love which lasted his entire life and a treasure he left to me.Shoshone is my tribute to the love of the sea my father left me. © 1993-2017 Marine Graphics, Inc.
