What's your story?
BALLYVAUGHAN
A small town in the western section of Ireland on the shore of Galway Bay. A great place to visit and enjoy..
GRAND 'R'
Day Since I was a small boy I have been facinated by wooden boats. This is now the name of my first, a Sheppard '1956 utility 18'.
AMERICAN BEAUTY
in part as a tribute to Jerry Garcia..
ONE UP / ONE DOWN
I have an 18ft Dart catamaran that I have named
OneUp
.The kids have a Sabot pram named
OneDown
GYPSY RAGS I and II
The latter is documented which I think means thename is not in use on another documented vessel. We plan to be wanderers, hence "gypsy" and be plan to do it by sail... you get the idea. Actually, the name was first used by my spouse as part of a wearable art business. .
SLOOP DU JOUR
The double pun is obvious - Soup du Jour (soup of the day) - Sloop du Jour (sloop of the day) and the translation even rhymes. Most people get it - we don't have to do a lot of explaining, like the folks down the way at the marina and their Ranger 23 ("Mariah II")who have to sing the song from "Paint You Wagon" all the time..
