Boat Naming Made Simple
BOAT BOAT
Had a Blue Buoy a 13' dinghy, some one asked what kind of a boat it was,I replied a boat boat.Hence it's new name BOAT BOAT. My next boat an O'Day Mariner became BOAT BOAT II. .

WIGNAW
Have a CAL-20 named it WIGNAW. A prudent mariner fly's the church pendant and the query pendant. Where In Gods Name Are We? The local racing fleet pushed to get boat names with cal in them. My short list came down to superCALifragilisticexpedaliotious and Mrs Calabash from Jimmy Durante's closing line " Good night Mrs Calabash wherever you are." .

MOUNTAINTOP
This is my brothers 36' Sea Ray Aft Cabin cruiser out of Punta Gorda, Florida. He bought it with this name already on it because, having just moved there from Denver, it just seemed to be calling to him. He will keep this name because he agrees with the original owners...when you are just drifting out on the gulf, it is as quiet and peaceful as sitting on a mountaintop. .

WATER-PIC
This is the proposed name for my new 20' Wellcraft Excel 20SL Cuddy I/O. The name reflects the two things I do most...spend time on the boat and take pictures .

SHUVAPONKI
Had a Reinell sloop for 20 years called "Shuvaponki". A son at age 18 months used to yell this once in a while. We think it was meant to be 'Shut up, donkey.' However were not completely certain of the translation!
