When we bought our Catalina 27, she had the commonplace name of “Windsong.” When a small tornado ripped through the end of our dock, she suffered a lot of cosmetic (and nothing else, thankfully) damage. Our insurance company paid for a full repaint and a name change. ” Beau Gust ” is simply a play on “Beau Geste,” and with the number of racing trophies we have racked up, it’s been a very fitting name.
