Phil had let his Taipan 28 get a bit behind in maintenance. When I met him, he and his 5 year old son were knee deep in water, bailing the Main Salon. After I offered much encouragement, he reminded me that this was not what he had in mind on the day before Super Bowl Sunday. He said “I’m so happy with this situation, that I’d be happy to sell this boat for One Buck.” I handed over the money, and the name stuck…but i paid too much.
