THE BITTER END
NO! Not named after the club in the Caribbean. Its the opposite end of the rope from the standing end. The standing end, being the end which is tied off. The bitter end is the loose end. In the days of sail, when sailors had to go aloft, the loose rope ends were whipped about by the wind, would often strike the sailors as they work. A very painful experience. Hence the name "bitter end" of the rope. Our boat a Hunter 35.5 sail boat, is a source of great pleasure! And like the loose rope end, our summer cruising is wild and loose.

JUST BECAUSE
After being self employed for over thirty years, my friends and co workers came up with this name. Seems I used this expression more than I should. It is only approperiate for my 1987 25' Hydra Sports which you will see on the Southern Kingfish Tournament Trail. Many thanks to JOHNSON OUTBOARDS and the other sponsors who makes fishing a success. PAWSII
for our registered vessel, Bayfield 32C see as how "Paws"had already been used. The names was chosen because of our two Burmese cats that love to sail providing the weather is smooth. My wife wanted to use the word "Wing", so that when we get a VHF call it would be Wing, Wing, Wing and we could answer "Hellwo"

IRISH REBEL
The reason behind this is because my fathers ancestor's are from Ireland and my mother is from the south (VA). She's the "Rebel" and my father is the "Irish!"
