What's your story?
CASIERA
This is the name of our Newport-33 sailboat! Being raised in Olympia, and then relocating to the S.F. Bay Area where I took on sailing, casiera is a hybred name that combines both the names and the spirit of the Cascade's, Sierra Nevada's and the Sea! Pronounced Ca-Sea-Air-A. The part that sounds like "Casa" is also appropriate as the boat is also our house or home.
THISTLE HURT
Thistles are overpowered, open cockpit dingy racers that have little in the way of "creature comforts" when racing. For example, class rules prohibit the use of seat cushions. Our first several experiences racing Thistles left the entire crew either bleeding or bruised, so we thought we'd warn off anyone who wasn't ready for our kind of rough and tumble sailing with the name: Thistle Hurt!
BREW SKI
pretty much says it all, glass water, radical turns, fine women the rush of speed and time to relax with a cold one.
CIBOLA
the name that the Conquistador Coronado gave to the fabled North American '7 cities of gold'. He did lots of exploring looking for Cibola, but never found it. Its fun to see who the history buffs are out there who know the meaning of the name and are able to tie it to the manufacturer (long gone too!).
WOODYMAKER
My time on the water in this particular boat brings such pleasure that it`s almost as good as sex.
