What's your story?

ALTURIA When looking to name a boat a couple of years ago I started thumbing through a dictionary of mythical places and came across "Alturia" whcih is the name for a place described as heaven on earth. So the boat's name is now Alturia and the dinghy's name is Alturia Minor. HOLOKAHIKI Means "sailing to a distant island" in Hawaiian. The name was found by ourson Matt for our 25' MacGregor that we sail at Lake Perry, Kansas. METSA Means forest in finnish and the comes from the previous owner of the ship which was Iisveden Metsä Inc.( Iisvesi Sawmills Inc.). The ship is really running for third summer at lake Päijänne in middle-Finland after being not in use for 37 years. It has it's original engine from 1877 and some of it's historyis known. TEMPORARY INSANITY I own a temporary staffing service named Mortgage Staffing.I just bought a 1965 38' Chris Craft that needs a lot of work.I am wondering if I bit off more than I can chew with this "project"The name seemed to fit perfectly. . WYVERN / Wyrm We got our '67 Alberg 30 last summer and it has a beautiful dragonairbrushed down each side. We didn't feel that the previous owner'sname of Rumba was right so we re-christened her Wyvern, old/middleEnglish for sea dragon, the dink is named Wyrm, for baby dragon. COOL PAW My boat name is "Cool Paw", named after my Sheltie, Luke. The boat is a 22 foot welded aluminum whitewater jetboat, manufactured by Custom Weld of Lewiston, Idaho. Power is a Ford 460, and the jet drive is a Berkely 12JG.
