My boat is called"Fleetwood". However, it is always refered to as "The Fleetwood". The boat is a 14'7"runabout built by my father, his brother, and their dad. The story goes like this... My dad asked him where he bought his boat, and the owner, Jerry Bass, told him he designed it and built it himself. My dad thought this was the coolest boat he'd ever seen and had to have plans. He asked Jerry how much it would cost for a set. Jerry told my dad that he wanted to go into the business of building boats and if he'd paint Fleetwood on the side of it, he would give him a set. Fleetwood is the name Jerry wanted to use for his company. Shortly there after, an envelope came in the mail with the plans in it. They were drawn on butcher paper and where not very detailed. There was the chine line, the keel, and the frames. My
