named after my wife, Tina Sue I. Also represents priorities,wife 1, boat 2(?). Just recently bought a 1956 26' Chris Craft Sea Skifffor restoration and being a Purdue University graduate planned on callingher
Old Gold
with appropriate trim colors. Have since changed my mind afterPurdue's early exit from the 1996 NCAA basketball tournament.
ROCKEN
named after its proud owners Rochelle and Ken.
HUGER RECTION
In coastal South Carolina Huger is pronounced huge, an old french pronounciation. When the name is pronounced in coastal S.C. you say HUGE ERECT--- .WE took the name off when I bought the boat.
JULIANA
Chesapeake captains of yore named their boats after their daughters, but mine--Julia Ann--objected, although I thought I caught just the slightest hint that she was actually somewhat flattered by this. (An inscrutable lass.) After some negotiation, we settled on Juliana--with one "n"--the early Roman form of her name (feminine of Julian).
