Boat Naming Made Simple
DOLLY
Dolly is a seven foot metal and foam zodiac. Her shape and front heaviness owe to her name. She steers with a bit a southern drawl.

FOXY NESSIE
Coming from a well-known song from the Beastie Boys, "Foxy Lady" has been changed in a more maritime way that make her appear like the (originally Scottish) monster who haunts the Lake of Geneva for 5 years.

GRUMPY
I was walking to work one January day with the temp at -30 and the wind chill pushing -75 F mumbling to myself what a miserable day it was and how "GRUMPY" I would be for the rest of the day and how nice it would be to be able to go out on myboat in 90 degree weather! the Boat (a 20' Larson) has been GRUMPY ever since. The boating season in Duluth, MN is a bit too short!

MYOTT
My son is a fan of Huey Lewis. On one of his music videos he asked a pretty girl if she wants to go for a ride on "my yacht". The next shot is of him and her rowing a boat with MYOTT on the transom. So when we finally bought a boat a asked him what we should name her and he said, "MYOTT". Since it's only a 17 footer, it kind of fits in the same category as a 12' rowboat.
