What's your story?
DOGONIT
Well actually there are two dogs now, but didn't feel like changing the name.
THE SEA HAG
throughout my childhood my grandfather ,an ex merchant marine, loved to tell us pirate stories before bed. When we would ask , Where was grandma he would always say " oh the seeeaaa haaaag we found her naked swinging from from a bunch of trees on the coast of norway. this went through three brothers and an uncle. In fact my uncle , whom races on lake ontario, had oncu told his teacher his mothers name was the sea hag. so when I got the boat I said to myself Iam not going to name it something stupid like so many boats and I thought evelyn after my grandmother that sounded nice and then it hit me the sea hag. This is the most perferct name. My granparents almost fell down laughing.
HOT TUB
As a sailing enthusist, I am blessed to have a wife who shares my enjoyment of quiet and not so quiet sailing days on a beautiful small Pennsylvania lake. When we talked about purchasing a recreational item to enjoy together, her first choice was a HOT TUB and certainly not a sail boat. But, compromise is a wonderful thing, so of course we went with 'my' first choice... hence the name for a true pleasure craft, a sunfish-laser rendition of the O'day now named HOT TUB!
INSOLVEN' SEA
After purchaseing our boat, we were stuck on a name, and then we started looking at our finances, and then the name "INSOLVEN' SEA" just sort of popped up.
NUCLEAR FISHIN'
is a 1977 Mark Twain bowrider. She is white with very bright yellow topsides. Although I don't use her for fishing very much, Nuclear Fishin' just seemed to go with the color.
