Every year we enjoy the fireworks shows on Lopez Island, WA. This was one of my favorite drone shots taken during a fly through. Yes, the bombs were bursting in air, and my little Mavic Mini was blasted out of the sky if that’s what you’re wondering. The sky was a canvas of vibrant colors, with dazzling explosions lighting up the night, reflecting in the water below. My drone captured the spectacle from a unique aerial perspective, right beside the bursts, giving a breathtaking view of the show you can’t see from the ground. Unfortunately, amid the stunning display, one of the fireworks exploded too close, causing my brave Mavic Mini to take a hit and tumble down. Despite the loss, the footage it captured before the impact was worth it, immortalizing the magic and thrill of that night.
