POKEY’S PROGENY

We had a contest to name our 281 Chris Craft and to make it difficult the name couldn’t reference sex, booze, or money. My father had built a runabout and called it Pokey Joe. He later bought a 2nd boat and called it Pokey’s Mate. It seemed appropriate to have an offspring thus our boat became Pokey’s Progeny.

Runner-up in the contest was the name “La-Boat-O-Me”. On the bow was suggested “Front-Of-La-Boat-O-Me”.
