A few years ago, after much deliberation, we named our pontoon boat “Kokomo.” I argued long and hard to name it the “Dawn Treader,” after the ship in C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia,” but Kokomo was a friendly and rather exotic name that conjured up the Beach Boys 1988 hit song, as well as balmy tropical thoughts.
