Some of my high-school friends and I had a series of K-mart inflatables that we used to paddle off the beach and catch Tarpon and sharks. The TINY SHIP I, II & III were all the same make and model, a Sevylor 8-ft three man blow up boat. There were three because, as you can guess, these boats weren’t very good, and they would always pop. The name comes from us charging anything from thunderstorms to 5-foot waves to take out shark lines or hunt down the elusive Tarpon. Now that we are all older we have real boats, so even though THE TINY SHIPs have long been deflated, their memories live on.
