New markings for the port and starboard sides, with and without the starfish. Also showing alternate positions which allow for slightly larger type.

Removing the old stripes could leave discoloration, meaning having to repaint. Lettering between the stripes with a max height of 6.5-7 inches would look something like this.
In this position you actually can go a little larger and still have space around the edges. I also reduced the height and aspect ratio a little, basically stretching it out.
Lowered the starfish on the T a little helps.
